The Atlanta Falcons are planning to sign former Minnesota Vikings free agent wide receiver LaQuon Treadwell, according to a report by WSB-TV’s Zach Klein. Treadwell contributed 5.2% of the receiving offense for the Minnesota Vikings, totaling 184 yards for the previous year. His receptions per contest and yards per contest average were 0.7 and 14.2 yards. Last season, Treadwell caught 1 receiving touchdown and his long reception of the year was 58 yards. He totaled 184 for the prior year and had an average of 20.4 yards/catch. His catch percentage for this past year was 56.3% and he got there by pulling in 9 of the 16 passes that went his way. Treadwell stepped onto the gridiron in 13 games during the previous campaign.

One player who might be impacted by this move is Russell Gage. As a percentage of the Atlanta Falcons 4,714 total yards through the air last season, Gage was responsible for 9.5% of the receiving corps output. Gage (1 TD through the air) compiled an average of 27.9 yds per game receiving and he had 3.1 receptions per contest. His longest catch last year went for 19 yards and he was able to haul in 66.2% of the passes thrown to him. He snatched 49 balls thrown his way (73rd in the NFL) for an average of 9.1 yards per reception.
