This parkland style championship course is traditional, uncrowded and unique all at the same time. This majestic golf course is beautifully maintained with tree lined fairways and perfect greens. This is not the usual course you’ll find in the desert. Pinnacle Peak Country Club is 7,030 yards of dramatic views, pristine Bent grass greens and lush fairways. It is a par 72 course and offers something for golfers of all levels.

Pinnacle Peak Country Club is found sitting in the McDowell Mountain Range which provides perfect conditions for a round of golf. You can also find a manicured chipping and putting facility as well as an expansive practice range.

If you are playing at here, you will have access to five PGA Golf Professionals for mini schools, clinics, private lessons and programs for kids. McCormick Ranch Golf Club features two beautiful 18 hole courses. The first of these two courses is the Palm Course. The Palm Course was designed by Desmond Muirhead in 1972 and offers the golfer a panoramic view of the sparkling lakes and the mountain vistas beyond. During the 18 holes, you will run across ten different holes that have a water hazard and you’ll come across Palm Course’s signature number 9 hole. The 9 hole has been named one of the Top 18 Water Holes of America by Golf Illustrated. The Palm Course was the previous home to the Scottsdale Swing and it was a regular destination for the Canadian Tour.

The Pine Course is the other 18 hole course at McCormick Ranch Golf Club. You will need a solid tee shot when you step onto the corridor fairways of the Pine Course. On six of the holes you will find water that comes into play and you may want to talk to other course regulars to talk about how you should approach the challenging 15th hole. Desmond Muirhead designed this course in 1972. This location has been consistently chosen as the location for the Waste Management Phoenix Open, which is a PGA regional qualifier.

Mountain Shadows Golf Course is a quick 18 hole course that earned the distinction of Golf Inc’s, “Renovation of the Year.” This quick, par 3 course was originally built in 1961 by designer Jack Snyder and from there it became of the favorite courses of the socialites and celebrities. It is also known for the wonderful desert location and the seclusion offered.

This already beautiful golf course would end up getting a face lift from Snyder’s mentor; Forrest Richardson. Richardson totally redesigned this course by melding modern features and the storied heritage of Mountain Shadows Golf Course.

The redesign was conducted in a way to honor the original layout with scenic views of Camelback Mountain, distinct holes rugged slopes and challenging greens. This club offers an excellent golf experience for the novice golfer while challenging those with low handicaps as well.

McDowell Mountain Golf Club was reopened in October of 2011 after going through a brand and name change. Phil Mickelson and Steve Loy got the rights to operate McDowell Mountain Golf Club and that was when the course underwent renovations and enhancements. McDowell Mountain Golf Club was formerly named Sanctuary Golf Course at West World. Along with the branding changes came new premier golfing experiences for the novice golfer as well as the scratch golfer.
