Softball Gloves

Just like in baseball, a great softball glove is one of the most important tools that you can buy for yourself that will help you to become a more successful player. In many ways, it is the final piece in what you would need to stop that hard line shot down the third base line or to that spectacular diving catch you’re going to make in the outfield. Not all softball gloves are created equal in terms of material or size. The size of the glove you are going to purchase has a lot to do with the position you play. However, there are other factors as well.

There are a lot of sections of the glove that you should pay attention to when you buy. The webbing, the palm, the fingers and heel are what make up the glove and these might be built differently based on the glove.

The position you play will make a difference too. Generally, outfield gloves are going to be a little bigger with deep pockets to catch those fly balls. On the other hand, an infielder glove is going to be a little smaller to allow for the transition from the glove to your throwing hand quickly.

We know there are a lot of gloves out there to choose from and picking the length is one choice. However, there are gloves with features that will either benefit you or not work out for your position. This is why we’ve created this list of some of our favorite softball gloves of the season. We hope this list will make your search more bearable since you’ll have some good options to choose from right here. Enjoy!
